Obama Campaign fails with wrong Domain name

Obama is also on twitter and facebook.

It’s really touching seeing president Obama reach out through the Internet these days.

The hard-working president has displayed not only proficiency in identifying and eradicating the numerous issues that affect the lives of American citizens, but he’s also social-media savvy; often reaching out via twitter and facebook to his numerous fans.

Ahem, sarcasm will end here.

Of course, we’re still in the middle of a bad economy but that’s another story. What matters, is that the Senate Elections are up tomorrow.

Yes folks, you will need to cast your vote yet again.

But be careful which campaign you follow, as president Obama’s advisers have screwed up a tiny bit.

Commercials on various media sites such as CNN feature an ad with Obama talking about the important elections and asking for people to “cast your vote“.

Unfortunately, the commercial ends with the URL RaiseYourVote.com and not CastYourVote.com which is privately owned.

Thanks to Obama’s advisers, CastYourVote.com is currently enjoying some nice traffic; when the president utters the phrase “cast your vote” that’s what listeners will subconsciously type – NOT the RaiseYourVote.com link.

It’s human psychology.

AJ – Sadly, you just might be right.

I read about a similar mistake back when Cheney mentioned a specific url, and that pushed a huge amount of traffic over to Schilling, almost crashing his site. Interesting mention on how one mistake can influence an outcome, especially one as important as the 2010 election.

Hope they get it right in the 2012 general election, as energy is still waiting to see light in the political spectrum. Education is lagging a few steps behind. Maybe my “Believe in Energy” sites will generate some nice traffic.

On the 2012 campaign trail, Obama mentioned “believe in energy” many times. “Believe in Energy” will once again rule the campaign trail. We’re all still waiting and trying to believe in energy. I surely believe in energy, and I believe that many American believe in energy.

    Cool article.
