OpenAI were the buyers of the ultra premium domain AI.com

The ultra-premium domain AI.com was sold two years ago, at a time when the asking price was $11 million dollars.

AI.com sat unresolving the whole time but as of February 13th it forwards to OpenAI and its ChatGPT project.

Perhaps OpenAI, a company formed in 2015 to establish artificial intelligence technologies, finally decided to take advantage of its tool’s popularity.

Domain brokerage powerhouse, Saw.com, stated:

The cat is out of the bag! We are proud to say we were part of the Ai.com domain sale. It is exciting to see what they are doing with it!

The domain’s seller, Future Media Architects, held AI.com for many years. In early 2021, their corporate domain name, FMA.com, was also sold; the domain was listed at Sedo with a price tag of $100,000 dollars.
