What is “police insurance” exactly?
Police officer liability insurance is a form of professional liability insurance that covers officers, departments, and municipalities against lawsuits.
Meanwhile, the movement to defund the police is gaining ground, and that’s a good thing.
“Defund the police” simply means reallocating or redirecting funding away from the police department to other government agencies funded by the local municipality. It does not mean dissolving the police force or doing away with law enforcement.
