SmartWallet.com is the focus of a #UDRP at the NAF

The domain SmartWallet.com has been hit with a UDRP at the NAF, despite its obvious generic nature. SmartWallet.com is a domain registered in 2001.

“Smart” references to wallets are related to cryptocurrency in recent years, and SmartWallet.com is definitely a strong contender for this type of use.

It seems that the Complainant claims that the domain isn’t being used, per its registrant, Andy Booth.

That’d be an interesting case to follow. There are at least 2 registered trademarks for SMARTWALLET in the USPTO, but we’re not sure if the Complainant in this UDRP is related.

Good luck, Andy!

Update 12/21/2020 : Andy Booth shared the results of the UDRP filed at NAF; the panel delivered a decision in his favor.

    Another shameful complaint.

Another brazen attempt to take someone’s rightful asset from them via the UDRP process.
