Stevie Wonder: I just called, to say, I sue you!

Iconic musician, Stevie Wonder.

Iconic musician, Stevie Wonder.

Stevie Wonder might not be having any recent #1 hits, but the former child prodigy has had a remarkable music career, since the 1960’s.

Being blind at birth did not stop Stevie Wonder – formerly Stevland Hardaway Morris – from succeeding as a song writer and musician, gaining international fame and fortune, particularly in the 1980’s.

Some people apparently wanted to capitalize on Stevie Wonder’s success and fame, registering StevieWonderRadio.com – and that did not sit well with Stevie, who filed a UDRP at the National Arbitration Forum.

While the panelist found that the domain should be given to Stevie Wonder, some interesting facts came up.

First, Stevie Wonder’s official web site is StevieWonder.net, managed by his music label, Universal/Motown Records. That web site currently forwards to the .com, but on StevieWonder.com one can only see the infamous eNom backpack girl.

The WHOIS information on the .com does not look too kosher either, and the last time there was content related to Stevie Wonder on it, was in 2011.

Full text of the UDRP is here.
