One of the domains that were sold during NamesCon last month, was Marijuana.la.
While dot .la is the ccTLD for Laos, it is quite often used as a reference to Los Angeles, LA for short.
We aren’t sure whether it was the marijuana keyword, the suffix, or the combination of both that led Carolyn Roorda to spend a reputed $6,000 dollars on the domain, sold by Media Options, as the historic WHOIS shows at DomainTools.
Carolyn was part of the female entourage during NamesCon that cheerfully directed attendees to their destinations, smiling often and enjoying her experience at the biggest domain conference ever.
