Two-letter domain PC.net goes live

PC.net goes live.

On Sunday, we announced exclusively how and why the domain name PC.net changed hands on Sedo – from its Korean owner of 10+ years, to a developer and sword enthusiast in the US.

Per Christensson holds a Bachelor of Science degree in both Computer Science and Communications from Wheaton College, IL. and on May 1st he took PC.net live, announcing the following:

“When I registered “sharpened.net” in 1999, it was the best unregistered domain name I could find. The name represented my passion for swords as well as my desire for knowledge. […] Today, on May 1st, 2012, Sharpened.net becomes PC.net. The new name is elegant in its simplicity and yet represents the broad scope of personal computer (PC) topics that Sharpened.net has covered over the years. Not only do the letters “PC” stand for “personal computer,” but they just happen to match my initials as well.”

At this time, Per has opted to not disclose the price he paid on Sedo to acquire the domain name PC.net, because the seller desired to keep that under wraps. Should this change, we will definitely update this post.

PC.net is an absolute gem of a domain name!
