A week ago we talked about Flippa.com – the online marketplace for selling domains and web sites – and a recent lapse of ownership verification control.
That unfortunate situation led to the listing of stolen domains and their attempted sale.
Flippa.com was very responsive in their commentary and they have now added more features to verify domain ownership, including validation using automated email and by adding a generated DNS text record.
Definitely an improvement but still nothing beats the process of verifying each domain “by hand”.
