It’s been 5 great years already, and how the world of domains has changed since 2009!
We now have gTLDs that only existed in “ClownPenis.fart” jokes. Halvarez is nowhere to be seen. Parked.com is gone. Morgan Linton is a millionaire (almost!) Frank Schilling owns a Registry, but not his own airline – yet.
What hasn’t changed in 5 years, is our commitment to delivering domain and social media news with a special twist. Whether it’s real news or parody spoof stories, DomainGang carries the torch for being different.
As of today, and with more than 2,493,529 pageviews from 1,253,745 unique visitors later, rest assured that we’re one of the few domain industry blogs that delivers consistent traffic and exposure to our sponsors. There are more than 4,000 unique posts, spanning news, stories, interviews and information on the wonderful world of domaining.
A big thank you to everyone who supported, commented, contributed and encouraged us over the course of these past 5 years. It’s been a journey that provided us with knowledge and – quite often – many sleepless nights! 😀
Special mentions follow:
- Adam Dicker – For providing a special section on DNForum where summaries of DomainGang posts can be announced.
- Tia Wood – For contributing her funny stories early on, when we needed support and direction.
- Susan Prosser / DomainTools – For being our original sponsor and for several years.
- Lori Anne Wardi / Dot .CO – For delivering support and mutual encouragement.
- The ICM Registry – For acknowledging that we can “be adult about it.”
- Frank Schilling / Uniregistry – For creating grand new products and trusting us with their launch & promos.
- Francois Carrillo / CAX / eCOP / Domaining.com – For realizing how thinking outside the box is the way to success.
- Rick Schwartz – For providing constructive feedback, and for patiently and kindly accepting his role in many of our spoof stories.
- Ron Jackson – For delivering the facts and figures of the domain industry much longer than we’ve done.
- Attila Steven and Maxwell for coming on board.
- Our past and current sponsors, that trust us with promoting their brands through our stories, news coverage and media promotion.
- All of you who provided genuine feedback, supportive comments and testimonials.
Lastly, thank you, Igal Lichtman, for providing inspiration, mentorship and honest friendship. It is an honor to have known you. Rest in peace.
Onto year six.
