The company’s domain, MBOrlando.com, was spotted on their delivery vehicle in yet another case of a domain sighting. MBOrlando.com was registered in 2000.
But that’s not all. If you really squint you can see another domain on the bumper, with a couple of letters missing: IsMyDrivingSafe.com. That company appears to have gone out of service although the domain resolves to a GD lander.
What in the world is a “domain sighting,” you may ask.
It’s when we encounter domain names in the real world, that appear on vehicle wraps and signs, billboards and business signs, and product packaging. For convenience, we group them into .com domain sightings, and other ccTLDs, gTLDs and TLDs.
