The two letter domain EM.com is currently on a Sedo auction, and we’ve been following it. Sedo is a sponsor of DomainGang.
Currently, three bidders have placed a total of six bids, bringing the price to $425,000 dollars.
EM.com is being auctioned with an unknown reserve, however, ranging between $500,000 dollars to almost a million. That’s the way Sedo auctions work.
The domain’s owner is from Sweden, active with the Sedo marketplace since 2017. The auction’s direct broker is Dave Evanson of Sedo. EM.com was registered in 1998, presumably after a drop.
Although prices for two letter .com domains have dipped from seven figures to very high six figures, they are still the cream of the crop of domain names, particularly for Chinese companies.
Will EM.com reach reserve, and will it end up in Chinese hands?
The Sedo auction ends tomorrow.
