Owning a domain such as Dimension.com isn’t just about the “dimension” keyword.
The multi-purpose dictionary .com carries a positive meaning but there’s a huge plus: It was registered on March 23, 1989.
That’s not a typo, the domain is older than many domain investors and it’s quite impressive that it was never let go; it was duly renewed year after year for 34 years.
Dimension.com was acquired by James Booth, who shared the news on Twitter. It’s a remarkable domain and we’ll probably never know how much money James paid to acquire it.
In the past, Dimension Systems owned Dimension.com and while we’d like to believe that it’s the company at DimensionSystems.com, founded in 1987 and based in Guam. The former owners of Dimension.com, however, are/were in San Diego, California.
In 2022, the domain was owned by a domain brokerage.
Other domains, such as Sophie.com, were listed on Dimension.com in the past. That domain is for sale by MediaX on Dan, so where have we heard of these guys before? MediaX.com is basically James’s brother, Andy Booth.
Perhaps James acquired it from Andy in a brotherly exchange?
Either way, Dimension.com is a spectacular domain name. Congratulations, James!
