Following the success of Domain Peak Europe, event founder Henry Marciulionis has announced Domain Peak Antarctica, a new domain industry summit to be held at the Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station, between February 23–24, 2026.

The event marks the beginning of Domain Peak’s global outreach, with Antarctica selected for its “untapped digital potential and abundance of snow-based infrastructure challenges.”
The summit will be co-hosted by the .aq Registry Consortium, an informal coalition of polar researchers and legacy hardware enthusiasts.
Marciulionis credited three global partners: Ice.pro, Freezename, and it.cool Domains, for supporting the logistics required to power what he calls “the southernmost gathering of domain name service providers, registrars, investors, and penguins.”
“Domain Peak Antarctica isn’t just another domain conference. It’s a survival story with panel discussions,” said Marciulionis, adding: “This is where domain investors get to meet the elements!”
Domain Peak Antarctica aims to feature a speaker lineup composed of approximately 90% local Antarctic residents, primarily scientific staff and one emperor penguin named Bob.
An optional Glacier Slide Safari is also planned for February 25, offering attendees the chance to explore ice covered crevasses and participate in a live penguin-led appraisal of ice-themed domain names.
It all sounds very cool and something straight out of the ICANN playbook.
