Shift.com, a premium dictionary domain registered in 1994, belongs to a car acquisition start-up.
The domain was sold in 2015, and now we know it sold for low six figures.
The exact number was dug up by domain investor and sleuth extraordinaire, George Kirikos, who referenced the SEC filings of the company. Shift.com appears to have been sold for $385,000 dollars.
From the filing:
Kirikos used the DomainTools WHOIS history to presume that Shift.com was acquired using Markmonitor and its DNStination subsidiary in December 2015.
