For the past 25+ years I’ve been a Florida resident; I grew used to the summer rain and the storm outlook that can turn into a hurricane. There are plenty of instances when hurricanes disrupted or affected Floridians’ lives but we learn to roll with the punches.
As an Orlando resident, I’m more inland and center-located than others who live at the coastal areas or in the south. Every time that Florida sustained a direct hit from a hurricane it has been bad for its people and infrastructure.
Hurricane Milton is a strong, dangerous hurricane that moved in with very little warning. It’s expected to hit south of Tampa Bay early Thursday morning, somewhere between Sarasota and Venice but this might change. These areas have been issued evacuation notices and if I lived there I would have taken off as instructed by the local, state, and federal authorities.
There are plenty of domain investors that call Florida home. Some are fresh to the area, others have been here longer than me. Regardless of location, my best wishes and prayers go out to everyone: Stay safe, stay dry.
As long as power is sustained, I will be sharing updates via Twitter.
someone told me that Florida and Louisiana will be underwater and the only thing living there will be pythons and alligators.
