It took a while, but the big news is that the domain name See.com is no longer stolen.
After a lengthy communication between the losing registrar, Moniker, and the gaining registrar, eNom, See.com is back in the possession of Mike Loucks.
The reclaim process involved the tech support and legal departments of both domain registrars, and lots of evidence provided to demonstrate that the domain was stolen from its rightful owner.
In the process, the domain thief from Cairo, Egypt claimed that he bought the domain, a claim that was untrue.
The same method was used by the Russian thief of MLA.com, which still remains in limbo.
Congratulations to Mike Loucks for achieving such a positive outcome for his business property; many thanks to Jamie Zoch of dotWeekly for sharing crucial information about this domain theft.
To summarize: See.com is no longer stolen. 😀
Thank YOU for doing all the reporting and adding your knowledge to help Mike get his valuable asset back. It can be a thankless job of helping others for countless hours but I know Mike and I’m sure the many others you have helped greatly appreciate it. Maybe you will get a fruitcake for Christmas 🙂
