Sometimes we receive the occasional comment that reeks of jealousy and/or derogatory commentary.
While all comments are welcome, here’s a list of what we don’t let through, so that you know:
- Comments from obviously fake emails, such as ein@stein.com
- Comments from people that can’t argue politely but feel that by calling us names they are growing a bigger dick
- Comments that insult others and use fake emails; if you want to call people out, use a real email
- Remarks that utilize proxies – these are blocked automatically
- Remarks from people that while they are critical of what we write and don’t like it, they still feel compelled to visit, time and again, just to “pester” us.
Repeat offenders get banned from the entire server. With more than 3,000 comments on DomainGang, the violators that fall in the above categories are a minuscule minority of “keyboard warriors”. Just like this Canadian government employee on an apparently slacking Friday. 😀
