Network Solutions rebrands & it’s not just a logo

Network Solutions is the original commercial domain registrar, the company that once held a government-backed monopoly on registering .com, .net, and .org domains in the early days of the commercial internet.

Founded in 1979 and later famous for managing the core DNS registry for .com, Network Solutions helped define how modern domain registration works.

Today it operates as a domain registrar and web services provider under the Newfold Digital umbrella, alongside brands like Bluehost, and has absorbed the Web.com brand into the Network Solutions name as part of Newfold’s consolidation of its portfolio.

It seems that in recent weeks Network Solutions has performed a thorough rebrand; from its logo to its web site and to visuals and motto.

First and foremost, this is the new logo of Network Solutions; a rotating array of N’s and S’s forming a star in the middle. The colors are basic and contrasting: black and white.

The logo appears rather large on the newly redesigned web site that maintains the black and white primary colors alongside a large hero image below the navigation; inner pages follow the same structure.

Compared to the old web site and logo as seen in this October 2025 capture by Archive.org, the first impression is the loss of colorful elements in the masthead; things look tighter and less spacious as well.

However, below the belt, things look colorful and tidy—and rather reminiscent of GoDaddy’s color-coded branding, to be honest—introducing a new, fresh look:

Font styles are tidier and more consistent than the previous version, which improves legibility.

The company emphasizes its internet roots and adoption by its user base, as seen in this quote that mentions the 1990’s:

Overall, we like the redesign of the Network Solutions brand; we’d like to see more color in its logo—See our proposal below.

Overall: 8/10 and a better job than when Godaddy switched to the “two eggs” logo! 🙂
