The news of the day – other that the dipping of the Demand Media stock – seems to be that Groupon is now planning an IPO for the 3rd quarter of 2011.
What’s more important, is that Groupon has chosen Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs as the underwriters of the IPO.
In other words, the very Golden Boys that caused chaos in the housing market and the trading of European countries’ debt.
Nice.
The IPO is rumored to be in the $15 billion to $20 billion dollar range.
Meanwhile, enjoy your special Papajohns pizza for only $4.99 – at Groupon. Or something like that.
