GoDaddy to donate domains to the poor kids of India

GoDaddy’s Bob Parsons is known for being an entrepreneurial genius, after launching the small domain registrar GoDaddy in the late 90’s. Today, GoDaddy.com is the biggest domain registrar in the world, with millions of domain names under their control.

Bob Parsons is now a multi-millionaire and spends a lot of his time traveling around the US and the world.

At a recent trip to an ICANN meeting in India, while having dinner in Mumbai, Bob Parsons noticed the numerous homeless children that ran half-dressed in the streets. He immediately put his curry chicken dish down and called his assistant in the US.

The news is huge.

Starting next week, GoDaddy.com will give away hundreds of thousands of domains for free, one to each homeless child in India. Bob Parsons will thus become a great philanthropist – to some, bigger than Bill Gates.

“I ain’t kiddin,” said a smiling Bob Parsons. “The GoDaddy Foundation will ensure that every child in India got their own domain name from GoDaddy.com for free, yes sir, I said it, free. We ain’t kiddin here!”

Bob Parsons will now have to outsource more support personnel to the US, in order to handle the expected rise in call volume from India. But that’s not a problem; Bob Parsons, a former US Marine, is always faithful to his customers.

Meanwhile, there are homeless and destitute right here in the USA. Let those who took our outsourced jobs, in India, provide for their own.
