When asked what we don’t like from your recent redesign, we had the cheek to respond with “everything!”
Sorry to shock you like this, but you should know that when asking for feedback you can’t always have it for free.
Why?
Because it’s the job of your designers to identify what is wrong with a redesign, and if you paid a company to do the job, they need to be able to roll out a complete product – not one that needs patches and touch ups.
Instead, you are promoting redesign services as part of a competition, to make others look like your current design. That’s a bit self-indulgent, don’t you think?
In our not so humble opinion, there was nothing wrong with the old design: it was spacious, legible – albeit a bit corporate – and didn’t have the dark hues and pseudo-grungy elements that don’t really do justice to your organization. Your logo currently looks the way PBS would rank against any cable TV network channel. And that’s our feedback, outside of the 140 character twitter limitation.
Lastly, we are not a “parody account” as you stated, although parody is only part of what we do.
We love you, PIR, so we sincerely hope you fix your image soon, implementing a redesign of the redesign.
