Squadhelp uses “zero fee” carrot for Afternic listings

New year, new domain sales policy at Squadhelp. The domain marketplace announced the introduction of zero commission for all domains that sell on Afternic.

The previous fee structure charged no fee for Squadhelp-listed domains that sold on Afternic, as long as that sale exceeded $25,000 dollars; smaller sales were charged a flat 5%.

There are a few strings attached, however, that requires the BIN price on Afternic to be at least 10% higher than Squadhelp pricing. Sellers that close a deal are required to provide proof of sale, including timestamped screenshots of the exchange, within 72 hours.

Sellers that attempt to bypass the rules, e.g. by lowering the Squadhelp price post-sale on Afternic to artificially meet the 10% price delta, will face the music. 🙂

Of course, the biggest issue remains: Domains that sell on the Afternic network incur an instant 25% sales fee if they utilize DNS other than those authorized on Afternic & Dan.
