Domain investors work hard, almost 12 months a year.
I say “almost” because December seems to be the least productive month of the year and the most expensive one. Full of holiday joy, December is almost fully spent with family and friends, leading to plenty of money spent on outings, trips, and presents.
With that in mind, it seems that December is a busy month for selling domains at a discount. Unlike the summer months that can be both busy and dry—as far as sales go—December offers opportunities to buyers as domains get discounted.
Typically, domains get priced down, between 10% to 20% or more during the holidays, due to increased expenses. It’s like every other industry and it’s a motivation for buyers to make a move.
If you have deals that were on the verge of being completed but $1,000 bucks was the difference amount depriving you of a sale, take a lesson: close the deal and spend your newly found cash on the joy of the holidays! 🙂
Ho, ho, ho! 🎅
