Unsolicited email is bad enough, but scams via mass spamming of domains is even worse.
This week’s scamming spammer is ElectronicDomains.com, that sends out fake invoices seeking collection of payment for services that never took place.
The mass email spamming of domain contacts contains the following message in part:
We have actually not obtained a settlement from you. We have actually tried to call you but were incapable to reach you.
and:
We have actually not received a payment from you. We’ve tried to call you yet were not able to reach you.
So who are these phucksticks operating from ElectronicDomains.com?
Once you visit their web site, the message reveals that they attempt to collect payments for some type ofย search engine exposure – one of the oldest scams on the Internet:
“Failure to complete your Domain name search engine registration by the expiration date may result in cancellation of this proposal making it difficult for your customers to locate you on the web. Do not discard, this notice is not an invoice it is a courtesy reminder to register your domain name search engine registration so your customers can locate you on the web.”
Naturally, none of this crap is essential. The domain is registered with Moniker and using CloudFlare DNS – no surprise there!
