Digimedia, holders of a premium portfolio of domain names, appear to have sold the domain name Towns.com.
Registered in 1997, the domain exited its former registrar, Tucows, moving to GoDaddy a couple of days ago. Now it’s under WHOIS privacy while using Cloudflare DNS.
The landing page appears to be a temporary domain management lander provided by Cloudflare; a clear indication that the domain name Towns.com has been sold.
A town is a human settlement. Towns are generally larger than villages and smaller than cities, though the criteria to distinguish between them vary considerably in different parts of the world.
The aged, generic domain Towns.com can serve as a brand as well. Towns.com does not seem to have been developed at all in the past, providing instead a series of PPC landers with links to ads.
Hopefully, the new owners of Towns.com will change that.
