Rob Monster, founder and CEO of DigitalTown, Inc., announced the acquisition of Comencia, a travel affiliate solutions provider.
Domain investors with travel-related domains can make money through hotel bookings. DigitalTown began integrating the Comencia hotel booking capability a few months ago, and here is an example of such integration.
Comencia founder, Mike Cartwright, was previously head of technology for the Expedia Affiliate Network and knows that space very well.
Mike has joined DigitalTown as CTO; the Comencia brand will continue to power the monetization of travel traffic.
According to Rob Monster, the message to domain investors is clear: Anyone with domains with significant targeted travel-related traffic, especially hotel domains, would benefit from utilizing the Comencia product by DigitalTown.
