Afternic is dead – Long live Airo!
GoDaddy has rolled out Airo, an AI-powered engine that takes textual descriptions as input and creates available domain names that best match it.
The Airo tool by GoDaddy provides added assistance for both new and established businesses. This includes features such as tailored email campaigns with recommended content and visuals, a calendar for managing social media posts, and the ability to create ads for social media and search engines.
Now you know why Afternic’s marketplace, no longer available to search by third parties really doesn’t matter; GoDaddy wants everyone to register more domains and get upsold add-ons such as hosting, SSL certificates and the like.
For its Airo service, GoDaddy has registered the domain GoDaddyAiro.com as Airo.com is a completely unrelated service. The domain was registered last October, followed by a trademark registration application for GODADDY AIRO.
The mark was applied for “Providing on-line non-downloadable software for use in domain name selection, brand selection and design, website design and development, and digital marketing.”
