Despite its name, NotForSale.com is listed “for sale” with a price tag: $165,000 dollars.
The irony is sharp: The domain’s keywords say one thing, the registrant says another. Registered in 2002, the domain appears to have been in the possession of Barbados corporation Abstract Holdings International Ltd since at least 2014.
Who are we to judge? Everything has a price tag.
To be fair, NotForSale.com would be perfect for for brands built on exclusivity, protest, satire, or irony; the name markets itself. It creates curiosity, starts conversations, and it’s catchy.
Phrase domains can be sold for large amounts of money. Let that sink in.
