Sahar Sarid: Mugshots.com charges were “dismissed and expunged”

Domain investor Sahar Sarid made a series of posts on X today, announcing his return, along with a statement related to the charges he faced in the lengthy Mugshots.com case.

Said Sarid about the status of these charges:

“The mugshots case in California has now been concluded, six and a half years later.

I was initially facing serious charges for things that never happened, serious crimes I did not commit.

As of December 9th, 2025, all charges were dismissed and expunged.”

In 2018 Sahar Sarid was arrested on various charges; these charges are now dismissed and expunged. That means Sahar Sarid has no criminal conviction in the Mugshots.com case.

According to Sahar Sarid, he has always maintained that he did not commit the crimes he was accused of. Through a West plea settlement agreement with the State of California, he continued to uphold that position. A West plea, he noted, is not an admission of guilt but a way to resolve a case while affirming that the defendant did not commit the offense. He added that “what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger,” and that he looks ahead to a better future.

Note: We did not verify these statements and this update is not legal advice. Florida law on criminal expunging of records differs from California where the charges were brought. This post is simply a report on Sahar Sarid’s own statements on X.
