It’s not that often that the US Government registers a bunch of domains that aren’t meant for national or social issue management.
Recent registrations of “trillion dollar” domains involve the official .gov TLD.
According to 404 Media the domains thetrilliondollardinner.gov, dinnerforamerica.gov, and thetrillion.gov were recently registered at the behest of the Department of Commerce. They have been reported as serving to hype meme coins and crypto among other things.
Previously, Waste.gov and DEI.gov were reported as registered to drive the agenda of the department of government efficiency (DOGE.) They remain undeveloped.
This time though these .gov registrations are causing political turmoil.

They’re all inactive pending delete.
One interesting domain that was recently registered and is still in the zone is trumpcard.gov.
