Serial entrepreneur, Elon Musk, announced the launch of Neuralink today; the start-up will focus on emerging technologies that fuse Artificial Intelligence (AI) with the human brain.
The ambitious project intends to merge human brains with computers, providing a platform for people to keep up with and interact with machines.
In doing so, the domain Neuralink.com is now being used, after years of dormant, on/off use by some other company.
As of today, the website displays a new logotype, along with an email link for those interested in jobs with the company.
At the same time, the gTLD domain Neura.link was registered today, and judging from the DNS (Greek nameservers) we doubt it’s related to the Elon Musk project.
Without doubt, however, the Uniregistry gTLD domain (.link) could serve as a valuable shortcut to the Neuralink brand.
Neuralink was registered in California as a medical research company in July, and a trademark application was filed in October. The trademark’s status is “suspended” as there is a pending application for the same mark since 2015.
