Myntz and BYKR: Two domainless brands in the wild!

Not everyone uses domains explicitly with their brands, but there is a secret to gain SEO sauce: The use of fanciful marks.

To gain visibility in major search engines, the keyword forming the company or the brand must be unique and made-up in a way that it’s not lost in a sea of generic word results.

Here are two great examples below, from real products of domainless brands in the wild:

Both Myntz and BYKR appear as the top result in Google when searching for the brand; while Myntz is pointing to Myntz.com, BYKR operates from a .shop domain, BYKR.shop!

Registered in 2024, BYKR.shop is a prominent brand in the world of motorcycle gear and accessories, all while the parked matching .com is buried in Google.

Of course, Myntz.com is doing great with their .com; Myntz was founded in 1996, starting as a vitamin producer named Vitech in 1988 but transitioned to producing breath mints and strips in 2001.

That’s the beauty of fanciful brands; they can be TLD-agnostic, as far as search engine indexing is concerned.
