If it were not for Hank Alvarez – the bidding alias of former VP of Engineering at Snapnames, Nelson “Halvarez” Brady – domainers would be having a boring 45 days until Christmas, not sure about what to discuss in their blogs.
Chef Patrick would have been making webinar videos about domain recipes and Bruce Marler would have been churning out manuals about how to use FTP.
But thanks to Halvarez, domainers have now flooded the domain forums; there is a thread at DNForum with almost 50,000 views – as many as the domains allegedly affected by the shill bids of good old Nelson. There is so much ongoing activity that the Internet hasn’t seen since the Enron scandal era. Rest in peace, Ken Lay.
DomainGang would like to extend a special “Thank you” to Halvarez for his great contribution to the domain industry and for the domainer stimulus check that Snapnames has offered to all of their affected customers.

Now that the halvarez dust is getting settled, what is going to be the next hot topic ? Any guess ??
You meant to say, now that the radioactive fallout is covering the domain planet? Because the news is not even a week old.
The industry should have the new annual award: Domain Trickster of the Year.
And the first owner of this award should be Mr. Nelson.
