XYZ Registry founder, Daniel Negari, is not just trying to convince everyone that dot .XYZ domains are the future; he lives and breathes his own brand.
It might have been inconceivable to many, but Negari put his own matching .com on a NameJet auction, stating he’d only need to keep Negari.XYZ.
While the pool of potential buyers is a bit narrow – after all, his name isn’t Smith or Papadopoulos – it’s still a risk considering last names are rather personal.
But did the domain end up selling at NameJet? Our parody coverage on Sergei Putanov’s interest speculated the domain wasn’t yet sold.
According to the WHOIS, privacy protection was turned on last week, and the domain still forwards to XYZ.xyz.
Meanwhile, the NameJet auction ended at $1,800 dollars and we are not sure whether there was a reserve – or a sale, for that matter.
Perhaps Negari should list it on Flippa, that recently had a redesign, and they offer free domain relists until a domain sells. ๐
The auction for negari.com was at a no reserve so i think it sold. He also put up DMN.com for sale but did not meet the reserve.
I can confirm that the domain sold for $1800 and has been paid for by the new owner. At the same time, Sergei Putnaov was a no-show in the auction. ๐
