Once again, domain investor George Kirikos has been busy, drilling the data behind the LL .com market.
Chinese domain investors are absolutely snapping every opportunity to acquire a two letter .com domain.
Kirikos’s latest intel brings to light two more changes:
- CE.com – The owner moved from Turkey to Hong Kong, China.
- FS.com – Sold by its Chinese owner to the Chinese company Fiberstore.
The second sale is extremely important, as it shows a new trend: End-user companies in China, acquiring LL .com domains from the Chinese domain investors that held them as an investment.
Abundance in domain capital in China at corporate level is not new; it’s completely different, however, from entry level domain investors who buy the so-called “chip domains” for a quick flip.
