Big data is the new big money, and Chinese officials working for China’s statistics bureau apparently profited from selling chunks of it.
According to a report by Bloomberg, the National Bureau of Statistics in China said 313 employees violated agency rules and have been asked to return 3.23 million yuan ($500,000 dollars) in fees that they improperly collected, according to a statement from the authority posted Wednesday on the website of the nation’s anti-corruption body.
Chinese investors – imagine, your information is being sold, who would have thought of that! 😉
Domain investors in China are once again selling their “Chips,” all while their Western counter-parts are holding onto these assets, regardless of the plummeting prices.
Perhaps we’ll need to re-run that poll, now that Chips are going below $1,400 dollars.
