If you thought there aren’t enough top level domain extensions (TLDs) the addition of a Punjabi script, Gurmukhi, will soon occur.
Just over 500 years old, Gurmukhi derives from the Brahmi Indian scripts of the 15th century.
And now, faithful residents of the Punjab region will be able to register .Punjab domain names – in the IDN script of Gumukhi.
We have no statistics regarding IDN domain names in general, a genre that leaves most domain investors uninterested.
Perhaps Indian domain investors will prove us wrong with this one.
