Italian fishermen angry over sale of Stromboli at DomainFest

A group of fishermen from Stromboli, a small island off the coast of Sicily are proclaiming they were cheated out of their heritage.

Stromboli.com was sold yesterday at DomainFest for the ungodly low sum of $2,250.

The fishermen, descendants of Greek settlers from the ancient times when Sicily and Southern Italy was collectively known as “Magna Grecia” have filed a complaint to the Italian minister of culture, Jiacomo Bellacosta.

“Madonna mia, so stupido! I say bid, bid and some Yank take our land on internetto, what is this?”, said a gesturing, visibly upset Mario Sporino – a native of Stromboli.

“I say my friend we put some euro from fish sale and buy Stromboli dotta com eh, and they look at me and shake head!”, he added, gesturing still.

Geodomains are important elements of domaining. As the Castello Brothers know all too well, premium online properties developed into portals of real information can generate large profits and sustain the domaining business beyond simple parking and PPC.

“I don know what to do now, Stromboli is where I born, my pappa born and everyone, so we love Stromboli and want Stromboli dotta com and we take it. Viva Italia!”, said Mario Sporino raising his fist in the air.

The island of Stromboli features an active volcano on its small, rounded area. It seems that now a new war is about to erupt between the US and Italy over the rights to possess Stromboli.com
