#Uniregistry has ended its domain affiliate program

Check your Uniregistry affiliate account, because its end is 30 days away.

Uniregistry is pulling the plug on this service that lasted six full years, since April 2014.

From July 16th, 2020 the Affiliate Program will no longer be supported. After that time you will no longer be able to access your Affiliate Panel and existing referral links will no longer be valid.

Any remaining balances in your Affiliate account will be transferred to your Uniregistry account by July 31, 2020.

The note arrived today from mother company, GoDaddy, with the following reason given for the program’s end of life:

We’re getting in touch to let you know we will be removing the Affiliate Program feature from Uni accounts. You’re being notified because you have used this feature in the past.

The decision to discontinue this feature didn’t come easily and was largely based on the fact that we have seen a decline in participation as well as a shift in our objectives to focus on other product improvements and providing an all-around smoother experience.

The Uniregistry Affiliate Program paid good commissions of 20% for domain transfers, renewals and registrations done with a participant’s affiliate ID.

With new gTLDs generally more expensive than .com, affiliates could make some serious money with a payoff limit of $250 dollars.

  1. Hopefully Wild West Domains isn’t next on the chopping block.
