Domaining.com, the quintessential domain news aggregator, had a security breach a few days ago.
According to the web site’s operator, Francois, there was no financial information that was stored or that was compromised. It seems that the breach leaked names and email addresses, sadly something that we’ve grown accustomed to from other data leaks.
You can now reset and change your account password, if you had an account. Instructions have been emailed individually to account holders, which is basically fellow domain industry bloggers.
Security rule #1: Make sure you don’t reuse that password in other accounts and web sites.
