Intis Telecom: Acquisition of the #domain IT.tv reveals smart #branding strategy

Intis Telecom, operators of IT.com and premium sponsors of our publication, announced the recent acquisition of the ultra premium domain IT.TV (it.tv.)

The acquisition of IT.tv is a strategic move that expands the brand’s domain list, just a month after fully paying off IT.com and its $3.8 million dollar price tag.

Intis Telecom shared some interesting information regarding the acquired domain IT.tv.

The price paid was $80,000 dollars and the transaction took place on Dan.com. In addition, IT.com paid the seller’s commission of $3,160 dollars so the seller netted a full $80k.

The sale of IT.tv now ranks #6th among the most expensive names in the .tv zone and it’s the most expensive domain in the .tv zone sold in the past 6 years. The domain IT.tv was last reported as sold in 2008 for the sum of $12,500 dollars.

The domain’s seller is Impressive Media, that holds an impressive list of .tv domains.

Just a note, we sold some .tv names in the 6 figures but could not disclose due to NDA. Still holding P.tv, Online.tv, UK.tv, NY.tv, Medicine.tv, and other many other top .tv. I been investing in .tv since 2000 and it’s done well:-)
