Humanity.org: Sedo sale is the biggest .org since 2022; details about the domain

The sale of the aged domain Humanity.org via Sedo for $225,000 dollars is the biggest .org transaction to be recorded since 2022.

According to NameBio, only the sale of Trauma.org for $231,000 dollars in 2022 and Z.org for $257,000 dollars in 2021 rank higher.

There are a few interesting tidbits about Humanity.org that are worth mentioning.

First of all, Humanity.org is a 1994 domain that was used by the Humanity Initiative, a company formed by Boston-based Tony Balis.

In recent months, the domain Humanity.org was listed for sale on Afternic for $250,000 dollars but it was sold on Sedo.com, potentially after negotiations that involved a broker.

The buyers, Humanity Protocol, upgraded their domain from CFH.xyz in order to achieve maximum digital respect by the community they are targeting: Humans. The company intends to provide verification of humans and the creation of a new digital identity via the use of the blockchain. It recently shared news of raising $30 million dollars on a $1 billion dollar valuation.

It’s interesting to note that Indian domain investor prodigy, Swetha Yenugula, shared that the Humanity Protocol team approached her to acquire the domain Humanity.XYZ but they backed out of the deal. That domain is listed for sale on Dan.com with a $279,888 dollar price that was potentially raised after the .org sale.
