Copilots.com #domain auction: #COPILOTS is a registered trademark

The domain name Copilots.com expired and dropped, after its previous registrant allowed it to expire and lapse.

DropCatch caught the domain — what a surprise — and it’s in a three day auction ending in less than an hour.

Numerous bids have been placed for the domain, raising the current highest bid to $5,250 dollars. But bidder beware: what appears to be a generic keyword is also a registered trademark with the USPTO.

The COPILOTS mark was published on June 4, 2024, with an intent to use clause. The mark’s owners have six months to provide proof of use in interstate commerce.  The mark’s owners, clearAjna LLC, is a company based in Texas. Surprisingly, their own domain name, Clearajna.com, displays a broken landing page.

The mark was registered for “labor and inventory management services for restaurants.”

Copilots.com was in the possession of Danish company CoPilots APS that used it as the homepage for an app catering to parenting. It appears to have been acquired on Uniregistry in 2016 and it was one of Frank Schilling’s domain names.

Update: The DropCatch auction for Copilots.com closed at $10,065 dollars.
