Luigi Mangione was arrested today on a gun charge in Pennsylvania and is believed to be the person of interest in the brazen murder of Brian Thompson, CEO of UnitedHealthcare, last Wednesday in Midtown Manhattan.
Social media photos of the suspect apparently match the partially masked and unmasked photos captured by video cameras in New York. Mangione’s name was released leading to a sea of comments and new followers of these accounts on X and Instagram. A LinkedIn profile exists as well.
Meanwhile, it seems that domain investors eager to register the suspect’s domain name will be disappointed as the domain was registered by an Italian software engineer by the same name, who is not the person of interest. LuigiMangione.com is registered with NameCheap and has an active web site that might crash under heavy load.
The flip variant, MangioneLuigi.com, was registered today, along with FreeLuigi.com – an apparent cry of support by those deranged enough to applaud the acts of an alleged killer.
