The domain sales of GoldVisa.com and aBTC.com were facilitated by domain broker Andrew Rosener of Media Options.
Both domains were sold to Trump interests, with GoldVisa.com being acquired by the Donald Trump administration to facilitate a revenue-generating, $5 million “gold card” immigrant visa.
Despite an underwhelming $25,000 dollar sale, the domain was acquired for less than 10% of that, per Namebio.
Meanwhile, the big sale of aBTC.com—a domain representing “a Bitcoin”—was immensely more profitable, selling for a whopping $699,999 dollars. The four letter domain aBTC.com was acquired for just $18,000 dollars in 2020, per this NamePros thread.
The buyers of aBTC.com were American Bitcoin, a bitcoin mining venture with Hut 8 co-founded by Eric Trump and older brother Donald Trump Jr.
The NYSE might have crashed and burned under Trump tariff pressure on Friday, but one can still make money from domain names. Both sales by Andrew Rosener were revealed in the latest Domain Sherpa episode:
