Spam from cheap domain registrations provided via agreements between registrars and registries is spreading like the Coronavirus.
Dozens of disposable domains are registered for a couple of dollars a pop, sending out massive amounts of unsolicited email aka SPAM.
It’s a pattern we witness time and again: Namecheap as the domain registrar, running promotions to attract legit registrants and getting serial spam criminals onboard like flies to honey. Completing this spam scheme is the acceptance of day old domains by Cloudflare, providers of free proxy DNS that hides the spammer’s host IP, effectively rendering them bulletproof.
We will continue to identify and expose such spammy domain registrations, from emails that we receive. Today’s list contains .CO, .Cyou, and .Monster domains that should be terminated and their registrant’s money flow benefiting the registrar – Namecheap – and the registries themselves should end.
