A new trademark application for BLOSSOM.COM at the USPTO by Las Vegas based medical services provider, Blossom Bariatrics, indicates that a sale possibly took place.
The trademark application was filed with an “intent to use” clause, for the following services:
Bariatric procedures; Medical services in the field of gastric surgery for weight loss; Medical services, namely, bariatric surgery; Medical services, namely, integrated surgical weight loss solutions including consultation and assessment; Medical services, namely, surgical center providing weight loss programs including bariatric surgery, weight loss consultation, and gastrointestinal assessment; Minimally invasive surgical services; Providing information in the field of surgical weight loss
The founder of Blossom Bariatrics is Dr. Thomas Umbach, MD, FACS. He is recognized by Newsweek as one of the “Nation’s Leading Bariatric Surgeons” and by The New Economy as one of the “Best Healthcare Consultants.”
Since the decision by SCOTUS on the Booking.com case, numerous applications for the trademark registration of domains have been filed at the USPTO. The marks involve generic domains, inclusive of the TLD.
