Sparklets.com: SyncPoint in battlestations for ongoing UDRP

Dave Lahoti, founder of SyncPoint, Inc., is no stranger to aggressive UDRP filings. The experienced domain investor and UDRPsearch.com founder is interested in the registration and acquisition of meaningful, brandable, two word .com domains.

It just so happens that often these domains are wanted by others!

In the case of Sparklets.com, a domain registered 21 years ago, Mr. Lahoti is preparing battlestations and going after the Complainant, ISI GMbH from Austria with a request for dismissal of the case with a finding of Reverse Domain Name Hijacking.

SyncPoint’s strategy is simple: Present the facts of the case, showing that the domain represents the dictionary word “sparklets” that are tiny points of light.

According to the Response, the Complainant in this UDRP registered their domain in 2010, a full seven years later. It’s impossible for SyncPoint to have engaged in a bad faith registration at the time they registered the .com.

We’re looking forward to receiving this UDRP’s decision from the WIPO, once it’s final.
