Today’s Domain Name Jargon entry is below:
Teledomainer: A domain investor that would never attend a domain conference, meetup, or even a coffee with another domainer, is called a “teledomainer.” A teledomainer isn’t one made out of necessity due to the Covid-19 virus, but one who’d rather mingle online on domain forums, domain groups on Facebook, and social media overall. A teledomainer might be perceived as antisocial by some, when in fact they are just fine. You can meet many a teledomainer at Zoom calls, most often in audio only.
Example: “Are you going to attend NamesCon 2021 in Austin, Texas, bro? I hear it’ll be the best one ever!”
“Nah bro, I am not into that type of stuff, as a teledomainer I’ll be watching the video highlights on YouTube and the photos on DNJournal – but I’ll see you tonight in the NamePros chatroom!”
