The premium, aged domain American.org has been sold. The 1997 registration has been in the possession of domain investor and branding consultant, Joseph Peterson.
American.org was acquired by Peterson in 2012 for a reported $5,010 dollars via SnapNames.
The new owner of American.org is another domain name expert, Eric Graychock of Media Group. The domain is currently pointed to a lander with an American eagle emblem.
Judging by the caliber of the seller and buyer, the sale most likely closed in the five figure range, a healthy ROI. Then again, it might have been a sale in the six figures!
There are many American organizations that would love to own American.org, and the reselling potential is extremely high.
Congratulations to Joseph and Eric for this great domain sale.
